The slaughter business question is indeed multifaceted

Posted by on April 7, 2012

I have been asked why slaughterhouse business is so controversial.

The slaughter business question is indeed multifaceted. That is why it is such a heated and often emotional debate whether involving citizen, horse owner, politician, President of the United States, breeder, cattle rancher, pet owner, racetrack, ranch owner, premarin supplier, slaughterhouse employee, horse meat eater; or which country you live in, Europe, Japan, Canada. The biggest issues are how inhumane the horses are treated and how the American and Canadian wild mustangs have become a money maker for European companies that sell horse meat. Our mustangs are owned by American citizens and should not be legally rounded up and auctioned off to kill buyers for the slaughter pipeline. We all need to make sure they do not be exterminated in this horse holocaust that is going on in our country and Canada. 80% of American’s surveyed do not want this to happen. Money and greed is the engine behind this horrible mess and torture for these innocent animals. We all need to get on the right side to stop the slaughter before they are too few and too small a gene pool to survive.
