Why is the Bureau of Land Management considering ovariectomy of wild mares on the open range with no sterile conditions and to release them to the range without pain killers and observation. They will chance infection and won’t be able to k

eep up with their family herds and become prey to predators. The BLM wants to exterminate the last of the 20,000 horses and burros in the wild. How can veterinarians mobilize to stop them from doing this and write to Congress and Pres. Obama to not allow this cruel and inhumane treatment of America’s icons — the wild mustang.
