Downtown Hottie, a 6 year old Thoroughbred mare, stumbled at the start of the race and lost her rider.  She decided to run the race herself, weaving through the horses.  This mare was so determined, she ended up winning the race all by herself, beating all the male horses.  No rider whipping her to go faster.  Free to make her own choices and path.  Even though she won the race, the records will show that she did not finish, since she was riderless.
