VOTE YES on Landrieu-Graham Amendment to FY15 Agriculture Appropriations bill in Senate

Please write to your Senator to ban the horse slaughterhouse inspections

Dear [recipient name was inserted here],

As your constituent and a supporter of equine welfare, I urge you to
continue the ban on the use of federal tax dollars for horse
slaughterhouse inspections by voting YES on the Landrieu-Graham Amendment
to the FY15 Agriculture Appropriations bill.

The 2014 Consolidated Appropriations Act bans the use of tax dollars for
inspections of horse slaughterhouses. Until a permanent ban on the
slaughter of American horses is enacted, it is essential that Congress
continue its efforts to keep this grisly industry off U.S. soil.

Prohibiting funding for inspections of horse slaughterhouses is a critical
step toward ending the slaughter of all American horses for human
consumption–a practice that 80% of Americans oppose. Adopting the
Landrieu-Graham Amendment in the FY 2015 Agriculture Appropriations bill
will demonstrate Congress’s continued commitment to ending the inhumane
slaughter of American horses, and will tell American voters that their
voices have been heard.

Please support the Landrieu-Graham Amendment to continue the ban on horse
slaughter inspections to save the wild horses and burros in America and
protect all horses from entering the food chain to end the inhumane
treatment of these animals who have no voice but ours.

Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

Sincerely,
