This photo shows a released band from one of yesterday’s roundups! I would like to see many more released than hauled off to massive corrals. Better yet – no roundups at all. Then we wouldn’t have lost the filly in Utah this week that died when she collided with the corral. Wild horses are under attack in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming, and New Mexico! You will be shocked to know that the New Mexico Livestock Board as well as the Bureau of Land Management has issued a notice of intent to impound horses and send them straight to livestock auctioning! It’s horrible, just horrible to think that free-roaming horses from Placitas, New Mexico will lose their freedom on August 4th and possibly their lives. Straight off of the land and then into hands of danger. Please do what you can – we must get media attention on this matter. Americans do not support horse slaughter and certainly not of our free-roaming horses! Please tell your friends, “Yes, it happens and the media is refusing to cover the story.” It is not horse thieves that are doing this but actual government officials. I knew it happened in Nevada, now I know it happens in New Mexico and together we are on a mission to raise awareness. The New Mexico capture of free-roaming horses begins MONDAY. Please act now. <https://go.madmimi.com/redirects/1406987121-228f00ee7db2a371b1119b7ae1041820-f0c2f37?pa=24241471822>
