Dear Ed,
I hope you reconsider the experiments you plan on doing to the 200 wild mares in Oregon. I am sure you will agree, these mares will no longer be wild horses if they are sterilized. They will no longer act like wild horses and their family dynamics will be changed forever. There is no need to do this as the BLM is already gelding every stallion they round up.The not sterile environment of the range corrals is putting all of these mares’ lives at risk. Many could get infections and be sick for a long time and die without anyone knowing why or how they suffered. The whole experiment is nasty, dangerous, pretty barbaric and not necessary. The process should not be allowed to be done to America’s iconic wild horses. Please stop this whole experiment before it is too late. I hope you are a caring human being that would not want to put these wild horses at risk and that the whole experiment becomes approved for the future of the wild horses and burros. I want them to be alive and well for future generations to see in the wild and not just in the movies. They have a special place in America’s history and need protection and not mutilation by these dangerous and unnecessary experiments. How could any humane person allow this to take place…

Thanks so much for your time!

Sincerely
Denise Brown
